8/12/11: Jeremy Frankoski Taking Recent Efforts In Stride; Looking Forward To Waterford

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (August 12, 2011) - - Former USAC Ford Focus champion Jeremy Frankoski has endured his ups and downs throughout the 2011 racing season. However, any driver knows that despite the bumps along the way, you can never give up and just have to keep fighting.

With top-five efforts at Seekonk Speedway and Lee Speedway respectively, Frankoski’s inquires about a track he had never seen before were about to come to fruition.

Tackling Twin State Speedway was a first for Frankoski in 2011. Despite the unknowns, the developing Late Model driver embraced the opportunity with excitement. Weather played havoc with the teams allowing only one round of hot laps. With heat races being canceled, the field was sent right into the main attraction.

Starting fourth, Frankoski in his No. 7NY IGA / Lucas Oil Mopar quickly was on the prowl with him battling for the lead by lap six. Heading into turn two, he attempted to take the lead but the two automobiles made contact forcing the Adam Cantor Racing driver to back out of the throttle to avoid a mishap. Quickly finding himself on the back bumper of the leader once I again on lap nine, Frankoski entered turn three too deep and spun the No. 7NY IGA / Lucas Oil Mopar. The incident brought out a caution which sent him to the rear of the field.

With not many laps remaining and one determined driver, Frankoski was able to slice and dice his way up the leader board but when the checkered flag fell, he landed fifth overall.

“I really feel like we had the car to win. Unfortunately, I made a mistake that cost my team a victory,” Frankoski admitted. “My team has been working non-stop on this car and they have earned the right to stand in victory lane and celebrate. I’m going to be determined now more than ever to make sure that happens.”

With Waterford Speedway next on deck for Frankoski and his ACR team, the driver looks for a little redemption on Saturday.

“We’re going this weekend to try and bring the trophy home,” he said. “I would like to make it up to my guys for what happened at Twin State. Everything has really come together nicely over the past few races, we just haven’t been able to seal the deal. This weekend, I think everyone will see that we won’t go down without a fight.”

YouTube Reach: With NEMA not sporting live television coverage of their event and in an effort to draw new fans and allow his current fans to stay in the loop, Frankoski has created his own YouTube channel that sparks the action from inside the cockpit. 7/13/11:
Jeremy Frankoski Remaining Focused; Despite Bumps Along The Way

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (July 13, 2011) - - It’s been a busy couple weeks for Adam Cantor Racing’s Jeremy Frankoski. On the road and on the move, Frankoski has competed in three different races at three completely different tracks. While the team has enjoyed success over the past month, they have also faced their fair share of bumps along the way.

In the middle of June, the team headed off to Thunder Road Speedbowl. It was the first time that everyone on the ACR team had even stepped foot on the property. Despite their lack of experience, the team headed into the weekend with an open mind and remained optimistic.

Challenges began earlier which tried to thwart the team’s goals for the weekend. A broken breather fitting on the valve cover kept the team from participating in the practice session. Not really know what to expect, the team was aiming to just survive in the heat race and hopefully transfer to the feature.

A loose No. 7NY IGA / Lucas Oil Mopar made Frankoski earn his finish in the heat as he battled from his fifth place starting position to claim second. Tightening up their race car, the team started the feature in the sixth spot but was only able to climb one position and take the checkered flag in the fifth position.

“We missed the setup a little bit,” offered Frankoski. “It happens in racing. This was a new place for us and while I’m pleased with our efforts, you always strive to do better. We’ll take what we learned here and apply it where we can and hope if we return to Thunder Road Speedbowl, we’ll find ourselves in a lot better shape.”

Next up for the team was Stafford Motor Speedway on Tuesday, June 28th. Unloading solid, the ACR team was focused and determined to make a statement. After starting fifth in his heat race, Frankoski nailed the throttle and took the win in his heat giving the Adam Cantor Racing team their first triumph of the season. Starting fourth in the feature, the team hovered between second and third but on the final lap of the event in turns three and four, Frankoski encountered some oil on the race track which threw his automobile into a vicious spin. He was able to recover but not before slipping to 10th in the overall rundown.

“Man, what a night of emotions for sure,” sounded Frankoski. “We had a super-fast car and the team did an awesome job. I did everything I could to avoid to what I thought was oil but the car just went into a spin. I hate it, because we deserved to be standing on the podium. We can’t change the outcome, the only thing we can do is pick up the pieces and bounce back.”

Most recently, Frankoski and Co. were plagued by engines issues at Thompson Speedway on Thursday, July 7th which continues the see-saw ride for the former USAC Ford Focus champion.

“It just seems like we can’t catch a break,” he said. “Thompson was frustrating. I mean, we can sit here and dwell on it, but we just need to pick up and move on the best we possibly can.”

Action resumes for NEMA this Friday, July 15 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire.

6/17/11:
Jeremy Frankoski Inspired; Looking Forward To Racing This Weekend

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (June 17, 2011) - - After rain forced the cancellation of the second NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) event of the season, Jeremy Frankoski had some unexpected down time, so he decided to make a trip to visit family.

Little did the Huntersville, North Carolina resident know that he would become inspired from what became of the welcomed trip. While visiting his mother and sister, Frankoski was asked to attend a benefit where his sister’s husband, Brian Yurka, a member of the band WATTS On TAP were providing the musical entertainment for a youngster named Preston who is currently battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

More than willing to attend, Frankoski had the opportunity to meet Preston’s supporters on Sunday, June 12 at Union City Fire Station in Union City, New York. The gathering benefit offered music, 50 / 50 raffle, two different types of auctions and a bake sale.

“Everything happens for a reason,” Frankoski said. “It’s a disappointing that we were rained out at Twin State Speedway, but the chance to support a courageous boy like Preston made up for it ten fold. It was a neat event and it was electrifying to see the community come together to support the family. It was truly an honorable moment.”

In March, the former USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion was named an Ambassador to Racing 2 Cure’s program, so the opportunity to expand his off-track duties was essential.

“With Racing 2 Cure’s message, it’s important to attend benefits or find benefits like this close to some of my races. It means a lot to me to be able to spend time and learn about the person outside of the turmoil that they are dealing with. Seeing the smiles on everyone’s face made the trip worth it.”

Feeling refreshed, Frankoski now heads to Thunder Bowl Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont for round three of the season with his Adam Cantor Racing (ACR) team.

“I’m ready to get back in the gas. We had a good showing at Waterford, but we’re thriving on more, so hopefully the weather will play in our favor this weekend and we can have a strong run on Sunday afternoon!”

6/9/11:
Jeremy Frankoski Ready To Hammer Down

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (June 9, 2011) - - The second NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) event of the year is set for this weekend at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, New Hampshire but former USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion Jeremy Frankoski is ready to hammer down.

Boosting his readiness on the heels of a top-three finish in the season-opener at Waterford Speedbowl, the 24-year old is aiming for his first win of the season driving for Adam Cantor Racing (ACR).

Frankoski, the Huntersville, North Carolina resident has been steadily preparing for the second race of the season – despite the downtime between the two events. Significant communication with his ACR team has the entire confidence level high heading into Saturday’s race.

“I’ve never been to Twin State Speedway but Adam Cantor Racing has so that’s comforting for me heading into the race. We had a good showing at Waterford, but as any team would, we would like to win. We’re definitely going to give it a shot this weekend.”

Frankoski and the ACR didn’t entirely stay dormant during NEMA’s off-time. Last month, the team qualified for the historic Night Before the 500, a USAC Mopar Midget race at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

The team had an impressive showing in their No. 7NY IGA / Lucas Oil Mopar but mechanical problems during the event forced a less than satisfying finish. Still, the team in their first ever attempt at the contest out-qualified several veterans racers and teams.

“I’m proud of what we accomplished as a team,” Frankoski said. “We came in against the odds but we qualified solid and had a good run going, but sometimes you just can’t control mechanical failures. We’ll look to make up for what we lost at Twin State Speedway.”

He finished off by saying, “this will be our third race together and with every race we are making gains. We still have a lot of room to grow but I’m excited to see what the rest of the season brings.”

In two consecutive years with NEMA, Frankoski has tallied 27 starts, one win, nine top-fives and 18 top-10 finishes.

5/25/11:
Jeremy Frankoski Readies Night Before The 500

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (May 25, 2011) - - Jeremy Frankoski may not be participating in this year’s Indianapolis 500, but the avid IZOD IndyCar Series fan will partake in the historic Night Before the 500, a USAC Mopar Midget race at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis this Saturday night.

Recently, the NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) competitor tested at the legendary short track with Santos Motorsports to prepare him for what is considered one of American’s most traditional Motorsports events. Teaming up with Adam Cantor Racing (ACR) in his No. 7NY IGA / Lucas Oil Mopar, the duo is hopeful for a big payout not to mention a huge night of celebration in what would be the team’s biggest career win.

“I’m definitely looking forward to Saturday night,” said Frankoski, a former USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion. “I cannot thank Santos Motorsports and Bobby Santos III enough for allowing me to come up with them to Lucas Oil Raceway a couple weeks ago and test with them. Hopefully, the extra seat time will give us the preparation needed going into the weekend.”

Having the opportunity to compete in such a prestigious race means a lot to Frankoski, a resident of Huntersville, North Carolina but the stock-car bound driver made it abundantly clear that he would not be where he is today without the help and support of many.

“I’m fortunate,” Frankoski mentioned. “Adam Cantor Racing, IGA, Lucas Oil, K&N Filters and all of our other marketing partners continue to have faith in my driving ability and they’re giving me an opportunity that I need to try and make the best of. I can’t predict what’s going to happen on Saturday night, but all I need to do is go out there and give it my all and hope we’ll be the ones celebrating in victory lane.”

To get to victory lane though, Frankoski will have to race his way into the feature which is expected to be tough but he says he will be mentally and physically prepared for one of his biggest challenges of the 2011 racing season.

“It’s a big race, so there’s going to be a ton of cars there,” he added. “I have a good team with great equipment. We just have to get our car handling right and then have it go our way in the heat.”

As far Sunday’s 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500, Frankoski plans to be glued to “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” and cheer on his two favorite IICS drivers John Andretti and Dario Franchitti.

“John (Andretti) has helped guide me with some areas of my career, so I’m pulling for him. He is a great guy and I continue to be thankful and appreciative for the impact he has in my racing career. Dario’s just a driver that you cannot help but like. He always has a great attitude and is a great role model for all drivers.”

In addition to IGA, Lucas Oil and K&N Filters, Frankoski will receive additional support this weekend from MCT, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Calico Coatings, Drive-In Web Design, Simpson Racing and Racing 2 Cure.

USAC Racing will stream the Night Before the 500 which includes practice, qualifying, heat races and the main event. To view the contest, please click to usaracing.com/usac_live.

5/24/11:
Jeremy Frankoski Staying In Throttle With Testing; Appearances

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (May 24, 2011) - - 2011 NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) championship contender Jeremy Frankoski has had a very busy couple weeks. While patiently waiting for his next NEMA event to arise, the avid race car driver has been testing and doing some charitable work in order to keep his mind occupied and focused towards the future.

Recently, the Huntersville, North Carolina resident drove to Indianapolis to assist Santos Motorsports with driver and close friend Bobby Santos III. Frankoski tested at the historic Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

For two days, Frankoski observed and considered himself a student, learning as much as possible. After patiently waiting, the steering wheel was turned over to the NASCAR Late Model driver where he turned approximately 40 laps in an asphalt 410 Sprint Car.

“I learned a lot about the line around the track, the setups and more importantly how to control a Sprint Car with 800-horsepower,” Frankoski said. “I came to Indianapolis to mainly acquire seat time around the speedway for our big race coming up this week in the midgets.”

The former USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion explained just how important it was to work with Santos not only on a friendship level but as competitors. “This was my first time in a asphalt sprint car, but I have driven dirt winged 360 and 410 sprint cars before, but these things on the asphalt are a blast, it’s my new favorite and it’s all thanks to BSIII. Bobby (Santos III) has helped me out in the past and we are good friends. I feel that Bobby and his father Bob (Santos) have accomplished a lot on their own with racing. I respect them a lot and it was an honor to have the opportunity to work with them and more importantly learn from them. They definitely know how to win.”

As far as Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis is concerned, the legendary short track may become a familiar icon for him. In April, Frankoski participated in Andy Hillenburg’s Fast Track Blue Collar Hero Driver Challenge presented by Speed Sport News at Little Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway. Nestled in a 3400-pound stock car Frankoski is hoping to win the challenge that will reward him with a guaranteed ARCA start at LOR for the Ansell Protective Gloves 200 on July 28th.

This past Friday, Frankoski continued his busy schedule by joining members of the Racing 2 Cure campaign for an afternoon of activities which included visiting the Speed Channel studios before heading to Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway for a private barbeque then an exclusive tour of the Speed stage at the 1.5-mile oval before enjoying the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ N.C. Education 200 race from a reserved suite.

“I felt honored when Todd (Stewart, Racing 2 Cure) asking me to be involved with this event,” said a humbled Frankoski. “It’s not everyday that you have an opportunity to have some fun and support a great cause with some inspirational people. I hope that all of the families had a good time and had to chance to take their mind off of everything and just enjoy the day together as a family.”

Before racing resumes on the NEMA tour, Frankoski will participate in the “Night Before the 500”, a USAC-sanctioned event at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis for Adam Cantor Racing on Saturday night, May 28.

“I’m looking forward to the Night Before the 500,” the 24-year old sounded. “It’s a big USAC event with a lot on the line. Hopefully we can get ourselves into the feature and have a shot at victory lane.”

In two consecutive years with NEMA, Frankoski has tallied 27 starts, one win, nine top-fives and 18 top-10 finishes.

4/27/11:
Jeremy Frankoski Participates In Fast Track Blue Collar Hero Driver Challenge

CONCORD, North Carolina (April 27, 2011) - - Race car driver Jeremy Frankoski continues to keep his head in the racing game and explore all of his options as the open wheel star recently competed in Andy Hillenburg’s Fast Track Blue Collar Hero Driver Challenge presented by Speed Sport News at Little Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway.

Andy Hillenburg’s Fast Track Blue Collar Hero Driver Challenge presented by Speed Sport News is the newest creation in an effort to find racing’s next future star. Beginning in March and conclude in June at the track known as “The Little Rock” in Rockingham, North Carolina.

The challenge is out to breed the next up-and-comers, who will have one shot during the three month contest (25 days of competition will be held during the three month run) and advance from a Fast Track High Performance Driving School car to a full-executed ARCA Racing Series stock car against one of racing’s finest stars all in one day. The overall winner will be approved to compete in ARCA’s return to Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis for the running of the Ansell Protective Gloves 200 on Thursday, July 28, 2011 live on SPEED.

For Frankoski, the former USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion – the opportunity to participate in such an experience with the 1995 ARCA champion was a real honor.

“I feel like the session went real well,” said Frankoski, who also has dabbled in Late Models. “The Little Rock is a very tight little short track but a lot of fun, especially in the ARCA cars. I feel like my chances are good to have a shot to be the winner. Time will only tell though if we’ll have a shot to run at Lucas Oil Raceway in June.”

Hillenburg, the two-time Daytona ARCA winner was overwhelmed with the ability and car control that Frankoski balanced in his first tango with a 3,400-pound ARCA car.

“Jeremy Frankoski is a wheel of talent,” Hillenburg said. “He’s definitely brought some class, integrity and speed into our Fast Track Blue Collar Hero Driver Challenge presented by Speed Sport News. If he does become the winner, he should be able to bring a lot to the series and Fast Track Racing. Whatever happens, he’s someone we’ll have to watch for a long time.”

Currently, Frankoski is competing in a full-season in the NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) tour for Adam Cantor Racing (ACR) in the No. 7NY IGA / Reichert Group Mopar machine. Earlier this month in the season-opener he finished third at Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut.

In two consecutive years with NEMA, Frankoski has tallied 27 starts, one win, nine top-fives and 18 top-10 finishes.

4/4/11: Jeremy Frankoski Delivers In First Race Of 2011

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (April 6, 2011) - - Jeremy Frankoski kicked off his return to NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) with a solid performance last Sunday at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Connecticut leaving the former USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion enthusiastic and upbeat about the remainder of the season.

In a new ride for Adam Cantor Racing (ACR), the duo was optimistic heading into the weekend. However, by the completion of the first practice, Frankoski had every reason to be anxious for the race.

“We unloaded out of the hauler third quickest,” Frankoski said. “I was pretty pleased with that effort with it being a newly organized team and all.”

In his heat race, Frankoski in his No. 7NY IGA / Reichert Group Mopar started fourth and finished fourth thus allowing him to transfer into the feature through an invert.

Starting in the eighth position with two champions Russ Stoehr and Randy Cabral starting directly behind him, Frankoski knew that his charge to the front would be no piece of cake. The Huntersville, North Carolina resident wasn’t prepared to go down without a fight.

In what only can be described as intense, side-by-side racing, Frankoski would steadily move his way up the leader board. When the white flag flew, Frankoski hovering in the third position – watched his second place competitor spinout bringing out a caution and allowing the No. 7NY IGA / Reichert Group Mopar to start right behind leader on the anticipated final restart of the night.

After a gallant effort to try and take the lead at the drop of the green, Frankoski’s tight machine worked against him – slipping him back to third where he would take the checkered flag.

“I discussed our run with Adam (Cantor, crew chief) after the race and we felt that our car was a little too tight on that final restart to take advantage of the opportunity. We made some adjustments to our No. 7NY IGA / Reichert Group machine Sunday morning after practice and it was a little too extravagant for the track conditions. We’ll learn from this and move on to the next race.”

He added, “I want to thank IGA / Reichert Group, K&N Filters, Lucas Oil, Microwave Circuit Technology and everyone on the Adam Cantor Racing team for their support and the opportunity to drive. After Sunday’s performance, I have good vibes about the season and I cannot wait to get back behind the wheel again.”

In two consecutive years with NEMA, Frankoski has tallied 27 starts, one win, nine top-fives and 18 top-10 finishes.

Jeremy Frankoski Readies NEMA Season Opener

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (March 30, 2011) - - USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion Jeremy Frankoski is readily preparing for his NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) season debut this weekend at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Connecticut with the help of an old sponsor and a new sponsor.

Jeremy Frankoski Racing (JFR) in affiliation with Adam Cantor Racing (ACR) officially announced today that K&N Pro Filters will return as a sponsor on his No. 7NY IGA / Reichert Group Mopar for a fourth consecutive season while welcoming Lucas Oil onboard as well for 2011.

“I am very excited about representing these two great companies who are highly involved with the Motorsports community,” said Frankoski. “I’m excited to get the NEMA season rolling and feel like we have as good of a shot as anyone to have our K&N and Lucas Oil machine as a contender.”

Frankoski continued, “I’ve enjoyed a little bit of everything over the last couple of years. From open-wheels to some Late Model Racing, it’s been good. Returning to racing roots is always humbling. I’m thankful to Adam Cantor Racing, their supporters and everyone with Jeremy Frankoski Racing for standing behind me.”

Earlier this week, the Huntersville, North Carolina resident had been named as an Ambassador to Racing 2 Cure’s program. As an Ambassador, Frankoski will help promote and carry the mission of R2C throughout his racing season in the North East. In addition, he’ll provide feedback and support to R2C’s unique new social network style fund-raising website, which is being launched later this year.

“I know how hard it can be to have a parent going through cancer as I’ve been there with my own family,” said Frankoski. “I was 11-years old (1998) when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She battled it for two years. Despite all the sickness and hardship she was always at my sporting events, racing, hockey and baseball and also at her three kid’s events. She would still take us to school and pick us up everyday even though she wasn't feeling well. She almost always packed a cooler of food and drinks to the races and prepared meals for the family. She kept things as normal as possible even though she was literally battling for her life.”

He continued, “Racing 2 Cure is really doing some great things for people going through Cancer to ease some of the everyday life stresses,” said Frankoski. “When I heard their story and how Hunter started this whole thing at just 7-years-old, I could relate to his situation and I wanted to help. I was surprised and honored when I was asked to be part of their Ambassador program. It’s going to give me a little extra motivation to get into the winners circle this year.”

Jeremy Frankoski Named as a Racing 2 Cure Ambassador NASCAR and Midget Driver Excited about Purpose Driven Season

Monday, March 21, 2011
Mooresville, NC--

Racing 2 Cure (R2C) a 501c3 non-profit announced today that it has named NASCAR and Midget up-and-coming race car driver, Jeremy Frankoski to its elite Ambassador program. Racing 2 Cure’s founders reached out to Frankoski after meeting him at a recent event and being impressed with his determination and overall good character. As an Ambassador, Frankoski will help promote and carry the mission of R2C throughout his racing season in the north east. In addition, he’ll provide feedback and support to R2C’s unique new social network style fund-raising website, which is being launched later this year. Frankoski was recently called on by Adam Cantor Racing in the NEMA Midget Series to pilot the IGA Reichert Group midget car that will also carry the Racing 2 Cure logo.

“We are very pleased to have Jeremy [Frankoski] come aboard Racing 2 Cure as an Ambassador,” said Todd Stewart, Co-Founder and President of the non-profit organization, which supports families in need while undergoing the hardships of Cancer treatments. “When we developed this program we set a criteria that Ambassadors would need to have traits of determination, positive attitudes, professionalism and passion. As we started talking to Jeremy he had all those characteristics and more. He really is an outstanding young man, determined and talented. We couldn’t be more pleased to have him supporting Racing 2 Cure.”

In addition to a winning attitude, Frankoski has also shown he can win on the race track. In 2009, he won the USAC Ford Focus Carolina Championship with 5 wins, 10 top five finishes and 6 pole qualifications. He was subsequently honored by USAC with a Rookie of the Year title. In NEMA, where Frankoski began racing midgets in 2007, he was also honored as the Rookie of the Year when he placed 6th in points and scored his first win at Beech Ridge. In two consecutive years with NEMA, Frankoski totaled 1 win, 8 top five and 17 top ten finishes.
“I know how hard it can be to have a parent going through cancer as I’ve been there with my own family,” said Frankoski. “I was 11-years old (1998) when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She battled it for two years. Despite all the sickness and hardship she was always at my sporting events, racing, hockey, baseball and also at her three other kids events. She would still take us to school and pick us up everyday even though she wasn't feeling well. She almost always packed a cooler of food and drinks to the races and prepared meals for the family. She kept things as normal as possible even though she was literally battling for her life.”

“Racing 2 Cure is really doing some great things for people going through Cancer to ease some of the everyday life stresses,” said Frankoski. “When I heard their story and how Hunter started this whole thing at just 7-years-old, I could relate to his situation and I wanted to help. I was surprised and honored when I was asked to be part of their Ambassador program. It’s going to give me a little extra motivation to get into the winners circle this year.”

Racing 2 Cure is currently in the final stages of launching their new website www.Racing2Cure.org which will be the home of "Race-A- Thon". This online fund raising program will provide racers from all forms of motorsports at any age with a fully automated, turn-key, cause-marketing campaign. The funds raised will help parents undergoing treatment with everyday life needs and provide children undergoing treatment special activities. In the social network style website racers will have the opportunity to promote themselves and their sponsors while conducting their fund raising program. Racers are encouraged to pre-register at www.Racing2Cure.org.

RACING 2 CURE began as a simple act of then 7-year old Hunter Stewart. Hunter was just starting his off-road racing career when he received troubling news. Just a few weeks before his first-ever race, his Mom at just 34-years old, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. In order to maintain a positive focus, the family decided to continue racing. After attending an event held by Susan G. Komen for the Cure (R), Hunter was inspired to take action. He carried the Komen logo on his race truck, wore pink shoe laces, and gave one-week's worth of his allowance for every race lap he completed. This one-race effort inspired others to take action. Hunter's story was largely covered by the media and recognized by public officials, including a guest appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. After several treatments Hunter's Mom (Alycia) went into remission (for three years.) Unfortunately Alycia has been diagnosed again with Breast Cancer. She is currently undergoing surgeries, Chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Alycia's cancer has taught the Stewart family the first hand hardships that Cancer brings to families. It was ‘families’ in need while undergoing treatment that inspired the formation of Racing 2 Cure Non-Profit Organization.

Frankoski will take the wheel of the IGA Reichert Group midget while Adam Cantor, former driver and long time NEMA stand out, will step into his new role as crew chief.

“We are very excited to have a driver of Jeremy’s caliber behind the wheel for us,” said team owner Allan Cantor. “He has shown that he is more than capable of getting the job done, and that is what we are looking forward to in 2011; getting the job done!”

Frankoski has plenty of experience in open wheel venues with both NEMA and USAC.

He also captured 5 heat wins.

During those two years in NEMA, Jeremy Frankoski and Adam Cantor raced against each other; now they will work together. “I am very happy with the opportunity to pursue a new role with the team as crew chief,” explained Adam Cantor. “I believe that with my experience as a driver and Jeremy’s ability to wheel a race car, we will be a formidable combination.”

Frankoski responded, “It’s an honor to be asked to drive for such a high quality team with a solid, long time sponsor like IGA Reichert Group.” IGA (Independent Grocers Alliance) and The Reichert Group have been on board with Adam Cantor Racing since 2002. “It’s great to be associated with a sponsor who is such an incredible supporter and fan of racing. Based on my past relationship with the Cantors, I feel we will mesh quickly and be very competitive all season!”
The trio will head to NEMA’s season opening race weekend at the Speedbowl in Waterford, CT on April 2nd & 3rd.

Jeremy Frankoski Heads to Daytona for ARCA Test Session

Huntersville, NC (January 9, 2011) – Jeremy Frankoski will be among the drivers to participate in a three day open test session at Daytona International Speedway beginning Tuesday, January 11th. The annual event held by the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, will give Frankoski ample opportunity to experience the newly paved racing surface on the legendary 2.5 mile high banked tri-oval.

“I’ve been dreaming about racing Daytona all my life, so this is definitely a dream coming true for me,” said the 24 year old Frankoski. “I’m just so thankful to have this opportunity. At the same time, I know there’s a lot of hard work ahead for me. There’s nothing in racing that can prepare you for Daytona, so I’m relying on a lot of good people to help me out.”

Florida businessman Eddie Smith, owner of TEAM 42 RACING (NASCAR Nationwide Series) recently named Jeremy as his Development Driver to compete in the ARCA Series and select Nationwide events. “TEAM 42 RACING is proud to have Jeremy Frankoski coming aboard in our Development Driver program,” beamed Smith. “Jeremy is a very talented driver and posses the type of character we are looking for on our team. We are currently looking for new marketing partners with a strategic marketing program to advance Jeremy’s promising career.”

Helping Frankoski get acquainted with Daytona this week will be Andy Hillenburg and Fast Track Racing. Hillenburg’s Fast Track – High Performance Driving School is also the official driving school of ARCA and USAR. Hillenburg himself was the 1995 ARCA Champion and has won ARCA races twice at Daytona in ’95 and ’97.

Frankoski has raced in a variety of open wheel series and was the USAC Ford Focus Carolina Champion in 2009. Driving the Calico Coatings Ford Focus Midget, he totaled 5 wins, 10 top five finishes, 6 pole qualifications and was honored by USAC with a Rookie of the Year title. Prior to USAC, Jeremy was a two year stand out in NEMA midgets where he also won a Rookie of the Year title driving for the Marine Engines team in 2007. He currently holds a NEMA record for his first win at Beach Ridge in 2007; one of only three rookies to win a race and fastest to do so after only 6 races.

Jeremy also has two years of full bodied racing experience. In 2009, he tested with Tony Blanchard and raced in the PASS Independence 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway, finishing 16th. Last year he ran a limited NASCAR Late Model schedule at Myrtle Beach Speedway with Chad McCumbee Racing and had 2 top five and 4 top ten finishes. “Working with Tony and then Chad gave me a lot of insight and a good chance to experience the differences between open wheel and full bodied cars,” said Frankoski. “And running somewhat regularly last year at Myrtle Beach helped me a lot. I was really able to get more comfortable with the transition.”

At this time, Jeremy Frankoski and TEAM 42 RACING are actively seeking sponsoring partners to support a competitive schedule in 2011. ARCA will “kick off” the season in Daytona on February 12th with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200; TEAM 42 hopes to have Jeremy at the wheel.
